Essential Functions/Responsibilities/Duties
- Collects patient and payor information for the purpose of managing inaccurate payments.
- Navigates payor sites to determine payment activity.
- Enters payment related transactions in the billing system per established billing procedures.
- Keeps records of billing activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
- Experience: Six months’ experience in a business office setting. Experience in customer service and/or data entry preferred.
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: Proficiency with a variety of computer programs including Word and Excel. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Customer relations skills preferred. Knowledge of data entry and benefits codes preferred.
